Unraveling your Emotional and Interpersonal Struggles
Psychological testing and assessment explores your past and present emotional life as it relates to your current concerns. It ferrets out your problems without overlooking those qualities that make you unique and capable.
This highly individualized assessment – for children, adolescents, adults, and couples – identifies ways in which you may experience and handle
- Personal goals
- Overall psychological functioning
Why Use Testing?
Sometimes referred to as a “personality evaluation” or “personality assessment,” this kind of testing may be conducted on its own or as a component of a neuropsychological assessment.
Results of the personality evaluation shed light on your psychological strengths and deficits. With modifications, the evaluation can be used as an alternative to short-term psychotherapy or it can serve as the beginning of a psychotherapy.
A variety of measures – including interviews, tests, tasks, and questionnaires – identify and clarify
- Personality traits, resources, and challenges
- Methods of coping
- Anxiety and depression
- Relationship troubles
- Diagnosis and treatment suggestions
A personality evaluation gives you and me a starting point for clarifying ways to bring about positive change in your life. Studies have shown that changes can and do occur in a person’s brain, at the biological level, when s/he works to change perceptions, perspectives, beliefs, and behaviors.
